Here are some facts about Mount Sima:
- 1100 foot vertical (350 metres)
- There are 12 runs, including green (easiest),
blue (moderate), black (hardest) and glade runs
- One double chair lift and one rope tow are in
operation
- A full service day lodge is located at the base
of Mount Sima.
- Operating since 1993
- The season usually begins in mid-December and
extends into April
- A non-profit society (Great Northern Ski
Society) runs the hill.
- The ski hill benefits from the contributions of
many volunteers and generous businesses.
- Mount Sima has new Outdoor and Indoor
Operations Managers. Stay tuned for more details
- All revenue generated by the ski hill goes
towards staff wages, operating costs, and hill development.
- The hill staff includes about a dozen dedicated
employees during its operating season.
