Yukon's Coroner says the body of a 36-year-old man who drowned January 28th was found on Sunday by police and Search and Rescue.

The Yukon Coroner's Service says the body of an Alberta man who drowned while snowmobiling west of Faro has been recovered.

Chief Coroner Heather Jones says search efforts resulted in the recovery of 36-year-old Jason Donald Keith of Morinville on Sunday by the B.C. RCMP Underwater Dive team, local police, and Yukon Search and Rescue.

Jones says Keith was snowmobiling with two other men on Drury Lake a week ago Monday, when he and another man rode into open water.

She says the investigation found did not fall through the ice as initially believed.

The other man was able to get back to the surface.

Jones says Keith's family has indicated he was passionate about hunting and guiding, and was working with a local outfitting company at the time of the accident.

The coroner joins RCMP in reminding the public to use extreme caution when travelling on or near Yukon waterways.
