Eight awards mark the best in Yukon tourism.
The Tourism Industry Association of the Yukon is handing out the hardware.
At their Awards of Excellence Friday night, eight awards were given out.
Winners include the Sundog Retreat getting the Traveller Experience Award, and the High Country Inn getting the Yukon Marketing Innovation Award for the "World's Most Famous 3 Star Hotel", while Lumel Studios got the Innovator of the Year Award.
The Dänojà Zho Cultural Centre in Dawson City is the Cultural Tourism Award winner, and the Event of the Year is Dawson's Thaw Di Gras.
The Sustainable Tourism Award is Dickson Outfitters, Air North's David Mountain is Tourism Employee of the year, and the Frantic Follies picked up a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The winners will be nominated for the Tourism Industry Association of Canada's 2017 Canadian Tourism Awards, which will be announced in November.
