Yukon Cares has hit a bit of a snag in it's attempts to bring over a family of ten from Syria to resettle in Whitehorse.
The group says since the family's application was filed with Citizenship and Immigration Canada over a year ago, they have had a baby, bringing the total number of refugees to 11.
The baby is now 16 months old, and will accompany the parents and eight siblings who will make Yukon their home.
Yukon Cares says it has submitted new paperwork to include the baby, and is hopeful the family will be able to travel soon.
The group of citizens has raised about sixty thousand dollars to bring over the family, and is looking to sponsor a second family.
