'The Next Star' From Yukon??

A Whitehorse teen is into the top 12 of the Y-T-V show 'The Next Star'.

13-year old Madi Dixon was one of 600 who auditioned for the show in Vancouver, and grabbed a Top 12 spot.

She says the whole experience was overwhelming, but she set aside her nerves and got a golden ticket.

The teen has been playing guitar and singing since the age of four.

Dixon now moves on, with the next episode airing next Monday.
