Al Foster

A fixture on the Whitehorse media scene for the better part of a decade, Al is back to being “the new guy” in the Rush’s newsroom. Al got his start at a small private TV station in Manitoba as a Weekend News Anchor (when he had a full lush head of hair). After five years in private television Al went on to work for the last 13 years with CBC Radio and Television in Winnipeg and Whitehorse. He has also had stints with As it Happens in Toronto and Canada Now in Vancouver. Al is excited and proud to be a part of the new Rush Morning Team and looks forward to being the Captain’s “calming influence.” When not making news Al loves playing hockey, cycling, coaching volleyball and enjoys nothing more than travelling with his beloved Lori. Al also has two boys just to ensure he has no down time!
