Finally, community engagement finished the priorities and they plan to do so by, proactive engagement with youth, BIPOC communities, the LGBTQ2s+ community, referrals to restorative justice, and proactive media relations
Every year, based on the work done by the Yukon Police Council and the Department of Justice, the Minister of Justice establishes police priorities for the Yukon RCMP.
Whitehorse RCMP Detachment Commander Inspector Lindsay Ellis says.
“We appreciated how many people took the time to submit information to our survey earlier this year, we want to ensure that our Whitehorse RCMP priorities take into consideration your concerns, interests and needs. We hope our priorities this year will help us continue to build positive relationships with the Whitehorse community”
