A few construction site break and enters in Whitehorse have prompted RCMP to investigate after damage and construction equipment is reported stolen
WHITEHORSE – A few construction site break and enters in the city of Whitehorse have caused RCMP to investigate as tools and construction equipment have been taken from buildings.
Yukon RCMP received a report on December 2, 2022, of break and enters occurring in the Whistle Bend neighbourhood. Construction workers in the neighbourhood reported building damage, as well as, the theft of tools and building materials. Nailers, staplers, impact guns and garage doors were all taken from the property.
Based on video evidence presented to detectives, authorities think the suspect(s) may have been driving an older model, red Chevrolet pickup truck while committing these crimes. Anyone having surveillance video of this offense, especially those who reside on or near Leota Street in Whistle Bend, is invited to contact authorities.
