Sometimes we don’t want to be stuffy on the Rock n Roll house party, we want to be SILLY. The following are some of the… sillier songs of Rock n Roll.
Chuck Berry – My Ding-A-Ling
So this song on the literal level is about a boy and his toy ding-a-ling. But I mean… it’s not REALLY about that. Just listen to Chuck’s interactions with the audience. That’ll give this one away. FUN FACT: This was Chuck Berry’s first and only #1 single. Go figure.
The Beatles – I Am The Walrus
This song terrified me as a kid. Now it confuses me as an adult. The Beatles claim that no drugs were involved with the making of this song. I choose not to believe that. I am Walrus. Coo-Coo-Ca-Chu!
Meat Loaf – Hot Patootie
This whole movie is just bizarre. And this song perfectly encapsulates the sillyness. Also probably the best Meat Loaf song under 17 minutes.
Deep Purple – Smoke on the Water

This one is really just for the guitar teachers out there. Once you’ve heard the opening riff to this song 10,000 times, it really does become silly.
That’s all this week folks, have a great weekend!
