Whitehorse, YT – Environment Canada has issued a blizzard warning for the Dempster Highway region near the Richardson Mountains which is set to begin tomorrow afternoon.
An approaching low-pressure system will bring winds of up to 80 km/h, creating near-zero visibility due to blowing snow.
The blizzard is expected to start around noon tomorrow and persist into late evening.
Environment Canada says travelers should prepare for hazardous conditions and sudden reductions in visibility.
