Whitehorse, YT – A Whitehorse man faces multiple charges in connection with an alleged illegal firearms manufacturing operation after an investigation by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC uncovered parts for 3D-printed “ghost guns.”
On January 24th, 28-year-old Anthony Luis Edwardo Desjarlais was charged with firearms manufacturing, trafficking and possession of unauthorized firearms, among other offenses.
An arrest warrant has been issued and local police and seeking assistance in locating him.

In August 2022, the Canada Border Services Agency intercepted a shipment of firearm parts destined for a Canadian address. This led to an investigation which resulted in a February 2023 search warrant executed at a Whitehorse residence.
Authorities seized evidence of firearms manufacturing and two conventional firearms during the search.
Yukon RCMP emphasized that combating organized crime, including the proliferation of illegal firearms remains a priority.
