Whitehorse, YT – Whitehorse RCMP is searching for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at the Edgewater Hotel on Main Street yesterday morning.
The incident took place shortly after 8:15 a.m. when a man wearing a face covering entered the hotel’s front lobby, displayed a weapon and demanded money.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, between 5 foot 8 inches and 6 feet tall, in his mid to late 30s, and was wearing a light blue coat and dark toque.
RCMP are asking anyone with information about the suspect to come forward.
Authorities urge the public not to approach the individual but to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
