WHITEHORSE, YT – A section of the North Klondike Highway was set to be temporarily closed on Tuesday, February 25th, as contractors for the Yukon’s Department of Highways and Public Works had planned to conduct avalanche control work near the Rock Creek and Henderson Corner Subdivisions.
The Department of Highways and Public work says this work has now been cancelled, following an assessment by their contractor which found minimal avalanche risk in the area.
