Whitehorse, YT – Canadians are heading to the polls today to elect the next federal government.
Four candidates are running in Yukon: Gabrielle Dupont for the Green Party, Brendan Hanley for the Liberals, Ryan Leef for the Conservatives and Katherine McCallum for the NDP.
Polling stations in Yukon are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eligible voters must cast their ballots at their assigned polling station, which can be found on their voter information card or on the Elections Canada website.
Voters must provide proof of identity and address, and can register at the polls if needed.
Special ballot voters who haven’t mailed their completed ballots must return them in person to a local Elections Canada office before polls close.
Elections Canada offices are located at the Whitehorse Elks Lodge, 853 Third Avenue, the Dawson City Community Centre and the Watson Lake Recreation Centre.
