Whitehorse, YT – The North Klondike Highway near Dawson City has reopened following a washout on Friday.
The closure occurred at kilometer 682, between the Dempster Highway cutoff and Henderson Corner, according to an official from the Department of Health and Social Services. The Yukon Government issued the closure notice around 6 p.m. on Friday.
By midday Saturday, officials confirmed that the highway had reopened.
Repairs are ongoing and the site continues to be monitored.
