Whitehorse, YT – RCMP in Carcross are investigating a winter break-in at the Yukon Suspension Bridge site near Fraser, B.C., where thieves made off with several culturally and historically significant items.
Police say the incident occurred sometime over the winter months. Several items were stolen including an antique cash register, a red serge RCMP uniform, bar stools, a large amount of change and a carbon-dates bison skull estimated to be over 42,000 years old.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Carcross RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
