Whitehorse, YT – Yukon RCMP are seeking information in the decades-old death of 26-year-old Tootsie Jimmy-Charlie, whose body was found in 1967.
Jimmy-Charlie’s body was found on May 17th at the site of the Whitehorse landfill which was located off Range Road overlooking McIntyre Creek.
She was last seen nearly two months earlier on March 20th in the Whitehorse area. She was five-foot-five and about 120 pounds with black hair. She was last seen wearing a green sweater, black pants and rubber boots. A red and black plaid jacket and pale purple sweater were found near her remains.
RCMP say Jimmy-Charlie was known as a kind-hearted and gentle woman and her family is still seeking answers.
Investigators with the Historical Case Unit say even a small detail or memory could help. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
