UPDATE: Highway 37 has since re-opened.
Whitehorse, YT – A tanker rollover north of Dease Lake has shut down Highway 37 in both directions near Good Hope Lake.
The incident, involving a material spill, occurred roughly 20 km north of Dease Lake between the Stikine Health Centre and Rabid Grizzly Rest Area. The road remains closed as crews assess the situation.
Yukon’s Department of Highways and Public Works does not recommend southbound travel. There is currently no timeline yet for re-opening.
