Whitehorse, YT – An evacuation alert for Beaver Creek and a stretch of the Alaska Highway has been lifted.
The alert, originally issued July 21 due to the nearby Mount Dave wildfire, covered kilometre markers 1868 to 1879, including the community of Beaver Creek and properties along the Beaver Creek waterway east of the highway.
Yukon government officials lifted the alert yesterday afternoon.
