Whitehorse, YT – Yukon has more room for foreign workers this year.
Ottawa has added 67 allocations to the Yukon Nominee Program, raising the 2025 total to 282 workers. The boost follows months of lobbying by the territorial government to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
The Federal Government had previously cut Yukon’s 2025 allocations to 215 earlier this year.
The increase allows the Yukon Nominee Program to issue more invitations from its employer Expression of Interest pool.
Additionally, 13 invitations will be reissued in the coming weeks after they were withdrawn earlier this year.
Priority is given to foreign nationals with at least a year in the territory, Yukon University graduates, Francophones and those holding temporary measure support letters.
