Whitehorse, YT – Two Yukon men are facing a long list of charges after Whitehorse RCMP say they were caught stealing from vehicles and trying to siphon gas.
Police say they received a report around 4 a.m. Sunday of two masked men stealing gas from the back of a truck. One was reportedly carrying a machete-style knife.
Officers tracked the suspects in an off-road vehicle into Riverdale, where they were arrested and found with stolen property.
Forty-five-year old Tyrell Sidney and 61-year-old William Johnson face charges including robbery, theft, possession of stolen property, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Sidney also faces impaired driving and probation violation charges.
