Whitehorse, YT – Whitehorse RCMP are asking for help identifying a man who allegedly tried to grab a 10-year-old girl riding her bike in the McIntyre subdivision on Friday.
Police say the incident happened around 4:42 p.m. when a man on an e-bike followed the girl, asked her questions, and reached out to grab her before she escaped and reported the incident.
The suspect is described as heavier-set with black skin, a high-pitched voice, and wearing a light green hoodie, gray sweatpants, a gold chain, a ski mask and “Jordans” sneakers.
RCMP and Kwanlin Dün First Nation Community Safety officers searched the area without success.
Anyone with information or dash camera footage is asked to contact the Whitehorse RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
