Whitehorse, YT – A Whitehorse man is facing charges after dozens of windows were smashed at St. Francis of Assisi Secondary School earlier this month.
RCMP say they received a report around 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 5 that over 70 windows had been broken at the school. Investigators believe the damage occurred between 4:00 and 6:00 that morning.
Following an investigation, police charged Keinen Frederick Chambers, of Whitehorse, with mischief over $5,000 and possession of a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence.
Chambers is set to appear in court on Dec. 1.
