Whitehorse, YT – Police in State College, Pennsylvania, say Whitehorse-born hockey player Gavin McKenna was involved in an ‘altercation’ near Penn State University campus.
Police say the altercation occurred on South Pugh Street on Saturday at roughly 8:45 p.m. A police news release states that it’s alleged that McKenna struck a 21-year-old male in the face during the altercation, “resulting in facial injuries requiring corrective surgery.”
He now faces charges including aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
State College police say that no further details will be released at this time.
