Whitehorse, YT – The Yukon Government says a recall of certain Lunaire-branded dried cannabis products over elevated arsenic levels does not affect any retailers in the territory.
The Yukon Liquor Corporation says the only affected product sold locally was Lunaire Eclipse dried cannabis. A total of 24 units were sold in 2024, and none remain with distributors or retailers.
The recall, issued by Quebec-based producer Great White North Growers and Health Canada, covers specific Lunaire products after additional testing found elevated arsenic, a toxic heavy metal. Prolonged exposure can harm organs and increase cancer risk.
Consumers who purchased the recalled product are advised to stop using it immediately and safely dispose of it.
