Whitehorse, YT – Arctic Winter Games officials released the full competition schedule next month and what they describe as the most comprehensive broadcast plan in Games history.
Nearly all competitions will be livestreamed free on the official Games website, with no paywall. Multi-camera coverage is planned for the Opening Ceremony, alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon, and northern cultural sports, including Arctic Sports and Dene Games.
A small number of events, including the Closing Ceremony, will not be streamed. All competitions and ceremonies are free to attend in person, except for the ticketed Cultural Galas.
In a previous interview with CKRW, AWG Host Society President Tracey Bilski warned that during the 2024 Arctic Winter Games, there were fake social media pages circulating online that charged for streaming and tickets.
“Just know that it’s important to find our verified site on our social media handles, and that we won’t be charging for streaming or for ticketing in that way,” said Bilski.
The Games run from March 8th to 15th, and the full schedule is available on the AWG website.
