Whitehorse, YT – RCMP say one person is in custody after a stabbing at Mt. Sima ski hill.
Police say officers responded around 3:03 p.m. Sunday to reports that a 19-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen while on the mountain. He sustained a non-life-threatening injury.
Mounties say the investigation is ongoing but they believe the incident was isolated and there’s no risk to the public. Police also say it is not connected to the Arctic Winter Games or any athletes competing in the event.
