Whitehorse, YT – Yukon RCMP say charges have been laid following a fatal two-vehicle collision in Whitehorse last fall.
Police say a truck operated by Pacific Northwest Freight Systems collided with a City of Whitehorse bus on Sept. 9, 2025, at the intersection of the Alaska Highway and Kathleen Road near Crestview.
A passenger in the truck, Isaiah Brodhagen, died in the crash. One person on the bus suffered minor injuries.
RCMP say Larry Chichak has been charged under the Territorial Motor Vehicle Act with careless driving, failing to remain in a designated lane and driving without a seatbelt.
Mounties say no further information will be released as the case is now before the courts.
