Whitehorse, YT – RCMP in Dawson City are investigating after drugs and a firearm were found in a bag along the Yukon River.
Police say a passerby walking their dog discovered a black shopping bag on a trail off Front Street on Monday and reported it.
The RCMP’s crime reduction unit is assisting with the investigation.
Mounties are asking anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers, and are reminding the public not to touch suspicious items.
