Whitehorse, YT – The Canada Border Services Agency says the Little Gold Creek port of entry west of Dawson City will not open Friday as planned because of delays tied to “environmental conditions.”
The seasonal border crossing along the Top of the World Highway connects Yukon with Alaska and was scheduled to open May 15 for the summer travel season. The CBSA says a new opening date has not yet been confirmed.
The crossing is located about 105 kilometres west of Dawson City and closes during the winter months because of weather conditions. More than 10,400 travellers entered Canada through the crossing during last year’s summer season.
