The Yukon Government has honoured the 2022 Sports Award recipients.
YUKON – The 2022 Sports Award winners were celebrated by the territory’s leaders.
The recipients of the 2022 Government of Yukon sports awards were celebrated for their vast achievements. The Premier’s Award of Sport Excellence and the Minister’s Award of Sport Recognition are given to athletes.
The Premier’s Award honours accomplishments on both the international and national levels. Regional events are tied to the Minister’s Award. These honours are presented to athletes or teams that have won a medal or been named an all-star at provincial, national, or international championships during the 2022 calendar year.
Overall, fifteen Yukoners were recognized for their achievements with the Premier’s Award, while the Ministers Award honoured twenty-one individuals and two teams.
