WHITEHORSE – One of the Yukon’s top tourist attractions is hosting its grand re-opening this weekend.
On Saturday, June 17, 2023, the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre is planning on having a party to celebrate the re-opening of the centre. The building has finished months-long renewal work on the main exhibit hall and will be showing off the new space to all attendees.
The reopening will also include a free BBQ with cuisine from local Yukon companies, performances by singer-songwriter Remy Rodden, face painting and balloon animals by children’s entertainer Claire Ness, atlatl demonstrations, a community craft project, free museum membership drawings, and more.
The event runs from 11 am to 2 pm at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre on the Alaska Highway.
