Whitehorse – The Yukon RCMP is investing the theft of firefighting equipment from the Yukon Wildland Fire Headquarters near Two Mile Hill.
According to the RCMP, two ATVs were stolen from the site overnight between October 16th and 17th, and a second theft occurred overnight between October 17th and 18th, this time a custom tanker trailer and 6 barrels of gasoline were stolen. The trailer is a modified flat deck with large tanks used to store and mix firefighting solutions, and is considered a specialized piece of equipment.
