WHITEHORSE, YT – There are some senior leadership changes within the Yukon Government set to take effect next Wednesday, January 17th.
Manon Moreau, the current Deputy Minister of both the Department of Environment and the French Language Services Directorate will be retiring from the Yukon Government.
Michael Prochazka will become the new Deputy Minister of the Department of Environment. Mr. Prochazka has been serving as the Acting Deputy Minister of Economic Development since May of 2023, and he will be replaced in that role by Deborah Lemaire for the next 6 months.
Sierra van der Meer will take over as Deputy Minister of the French Language Services Directorate, in addition to her current role as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Culture, and the Women and Gender Equity Directorate.
