Work Crews along 2nd Avenue
WHITEHORSE, YT – The recent warm weather has brought slushy road conditions to many throughfares and side roads across the City of Whitehorse. On 2nd Avenue, The City says it has crews on-site attempting to repair large potholes and clear away pooling water in the area, which was brought on the early melt.
The work along 2nd Avenue is taking place between Main and Steel Streets. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane through the area as work crews remove as much water as possible before they being the temporary solution of filling the holes with gravel.
The City says the 2nd Avenue potholes will be treated with asphalt later this year.
