Whitehorse, YT – The equipment issue disrupting telecommunications services on Sunday across the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut was stabilized by Northwestel technicians late last night.
Northwestel said in a Facebook post that work continues towards a complete solution and they will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.
At 10:30 am on Sunday, Northwestel said an equipment issue affected various services. Local and long-distance calling, cellular and internet services were down along Highway 37 and in Watson Lake.
Customers may have experienced intermittent cellular, landline, TV and internet disruptions in other Yukon communities.
Across Nunavut and in Yellowknife, N.W.T, local and long-distance calling was experiencing disruptions.
