WHITEHORSE, YT – The Yukon Government is seeking public input on the design of a continuous multi-use trail along the Alaska Highway through Whitehorse.
An online survey, available on Yukon.ca until January 5th, has been lauched to collect insite and opinions.
The Government has proposed a 30+ kilometer long trail stretching from the Carcross Cutoff to the juction with the North Klondike Highway, with ambitions for it to become a year-round accessible route for active trasportation – and wheelchair friendly.
Yukon’s Minister Of Highways and Public Works, Nils Clarke, says this project is all about connecting Yukon communities, with the added bonus of reducing our environmental impacts and supporting healthily lifestyles.
