Whitehorse, YT – RCMP are investigating a reported sexual assault on Whitehorse’s Millennium Trail earlier this month.
Police say a woman was walking near the skateboard park between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 when she was physically attacked by a man she didn’t know.
The suspect is described as dark-skinned, heavy-set, with dark hair. Investigators believe he may have visible injuries to his face that are now healing.
The Specialized Response Unit is leading the case, and officers are asking anyone who was on the trail or around the skateboard park that night to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Whitehorse RCMP or leave an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
