Whitehorse, YT – A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck early Sunday about 87 kilometres west of Burwash Landing, according to Earthquakes Canada.
The quake struck around 4:20 a.m. local time and was not felt in nearby communities. No damage or injuries were reported.
The agency notes that earthquakes below magnitude 5.4 rarely cause damage.
