Funding for Indigenous Artists available
The Government of Yukon is bringing in a new funding program for Indigenous Artist and Cultural Carriers.
According to the territorial government, this micro-grant pilot program will support indigenous artists enhance their artistic and cultural practices, while expanding capacity to create, develop, perform and export.
The program is designed to be flexible and offers up to 5 thousand dollars for those interested.
There will be 50-thousand dollars available between January 1, 2023 and the end of March 2023, with 150-thousand available between April 1, 2023 and the end of March 2024.
