How to Enter:

From Friday, November 14 to Saturday, November 29, drop off non-perishable food items at CKRW or Save-On Foods. Only Save-On Foods will be accepting donations on Saturday, November 29.

1 bag of donations = 1 ballot. The more donations you bring, the more entries you get!

For a quick, easy way  to help fill Yukon cupboards this season, Save-On is also providing pre-packaged donation bags at checkout – filled with items for a holiday dinner!

2025 Prep The Season – Contest Rules

Contest Period: Friday, November 14 – Saturday, November 29, 2025

The “Prep The Season” contest is organized by CKRW – The Rush in partnership with Save-On-Foods Whitehorse, Yukon Built, Murdochs Gem Shop, Integra Tire, Driving Force, Klondike Chev, Yukon Nissan, Chieftain Energy, Coast Mountain Sports, & Whitehorse Home Hardware to support the Yukon Food Bank.

Eligibility:

• Contest is open to residents of the Yukon Territory who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Employees, representatives, and immediate family members of CKRW, Save-On-Foods, the Yukon Food Bank, and any participating sponsors are not eligible to enter or win.
• Contestants must provide valid contact information and identification to claim a prize.

How to Enter:

• Listeners can enter by donating non-perishable food items at either CKRW or Save-On-Foods in Whitehorse between November 14 and November 29, 2025.
• Each bag of donations equals one (1) ballot entry.
• Pre-packed donation bags purchased at Save-On-Foods will also count as entries.
• For an additional entry, participants can tag CKRW on social media with a photo of their donation using the hashtag #PrepTheSeason.
• No purchase necessary to enter. Alternate entries can be made by mailing a hand-written letter with your name, phone number, and the words “Prep The Season Entry” to: CKRW – The Rush, 410 – 2237 2nd Avenue, Whitehorse, YT Y1A 0K7.

Save-On Foods Whitehorse
📍 43 Chilkoot Way #100, Whitehorse
🕛 7 Days a week, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM

Prizes:

• Two (2) grand prize winners will each receive a festive stocking valued at approximately $1,000, filled with gift cards from local businesses.
• Total prize value: $2,000 CAD.
• Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and have no cash value.

Winner Selection:

• Two winners will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries on Saturday, November 29, 2025, during the on-site event at Save-On-Foods Whitehorse.
• Winners will be contacted by phone, email, or direct message.
• If a winner cannot be reached within 48 hours, a new winner may be drawn.
• Winners must provide valid photo ID to claim their prize.

General Conditions:

• By entering, participants agree to abide by these Official Rules and all decisions of CKRW, which are final and binding.
• CKRW and Save-On-Foods reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the contest if fraud, technical failures, or other factors compromise the integrity of the promotion.
• Entry constitutes permission for CKRW to use the winner’s name, photo, and/or likeness for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
• CKRW will never request credit card or banking information from participants.

Privacy:

• Personal information collected during the contest will be used solely for contest administration and in accordance with CKRW’s privacy policy.

Liability:

• By entering, participants release CKRW, Save-On-Foods, the Yukon Food Bank, and all participating sponsors from any liability, loss, or damage arising out of participation in the contest or acceptance of any prize.
