Whitehorse, YT – Yukon RCMP have arrested three men and seized a large amount of drugs following a trafficking investigation in Whitehorse.
Officers say 19-year-old Riley Sutton of Surrey, B.C., 20-year-old Abishan Gnanabakaran of Vancouver, and 59-year-old Calvin Pembleton of Whitehorse were arrested Friday after police executed a search warrant in the Porter Creek area. About 40 grams of suspected cocaine, a small amount of fentanyl, cash, cell phones, a scale and knives were seized.
A follow-up search of a storage locker recovered more than 900 grams of suspected cocaine and packaging materials.
Sutton and Gnanabakaran face trafficking and possession charges, while Pemberton also faces fentanyl-related charges. All three remain in custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
