Whitehorse, YT – Whitehorse RCMP say they conducted a high-risk arrest after a report of a robbery involving a firearm at a local off-sales on Friday night.
At roughly 11 p.m. on Friday, police heard that a man pointed what appeared to be a black handgun at staff before leaving. Police quickly located and arrested 18-year-old Kadynce Smith without incident.
RCMP later found the firearm and determined that it was a realistic-looking airsoft gun.
Smith has now been charged with robbery, pointing a firearm and breaching his undertaking conditions.
