Whitehorse, YT – Yukon RCMP say two people are facing charges after a drug trafficking investigation led to the seizure of a significant amount of suspected cocaine.
Police say about two kilograms of cocaine were seized on March 10 as part of an ongoing investigation by the RCMP’s Crime Reduction Unit.
Officers later arrested two people in Whitehorse on March 13, where they say they found an additional 44 grams of suspected cocaine packaged for resale, along with about $1100 in cash.
Nathali George, 30, of Burnaby, B.C., and Mary Greenland, 65, of Whitehorse, are both charged with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking along with possession of property obtained by crime.
