Yukon Engineering Bonanza

Engineers Yukon hosts an annual bridge building competition and for many years this has been a signature event for students, teachers, and engineers across the territory. This year, in addition to the competition, the event space is curated for exchanges where students can learn about the broad scope of engineering disciplines and local specialized talent and experience the diverse and inclusive engineering profession in the Yukon. From 10 am to 4 pm on Saturday, 27 April 2024, Engineers Yukon’s signature bridge building event will be hosted in the ATCO Arena at the Canada Games Centre. In response to continued excitement for the event, Engineers Yukon is expanding the signature annual event to be bigger, better, and more inclusive of other engineering disciplines and students. This year, NorthwestTel will capture and display the competition on the big screen. The change in venue, to the larger ATCO area, will support the growing attendance and provide a better opportunity to participate and cheer on the best teams! The Engineering Bonanza aims to have the bridge building competition as a centerpiece with additional booths set up by industry to showcase their disciplines (Civil, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Environmental, etc.) and expose students to local engineering specialists, driving local solutions to better Yukon communities
