Currie Dixon pounces on the Liberal government over the report from the Child and Youth Advocate
Yukon Party leader Currie Dixon says Yukon’s education minister violated the Child and Youth Advocate Act when she
last year when she claimed the advocate had no authority to investigate the Hidden Valley School sexual abuse scandal.
Dixon says the advocate’s report specifically singles out the minister’s comments.
“However I found it remarkable that the child and youth advocates record noted that those actions and those comments by the Minister were in direct contravention of the of the Act.”
Dixon calls that unacceptable.
