
The RCMP executed prohibited drugs and substances act warrant at a property in Whitehorse's Crestview neighbourhood.
WHITEHORSE - A controlled drugs and substances act warrant was performed at a residence in Whitehorse's Crestview neighbourhood by RCMP.
On May 27, 2023, around 9 am, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant was done at a home in Whitehorse's Crestview neighbourhood.
The search done at the residence located on Azue Road was led by the Yukon RCMP Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), with the assistance of officers from Whitehorse Detachment, the Yukon RCMP's Critical Incident Program (CIP), as well as Emergency Response Team (ERT) members from both the RCMP "G" and "K" Divisions.
As a result, two guys were safely apprehended. During a check of the premises, authorities discovered large sums of Canadian money as well as a substance suspected to be cocaine.
According to the RCMP, the investigation is ongoing and further information will be shared as soon as it becomes available.
