Unwrapped gifts for children and teenagers can be dropped off at the Northwestel retail store now until December 10th.
The Share the Spirit Toy Drive has kicked off in Whitehorse for this holiday season.
Northwestel and the Whitehorse Firefighters Charitable Society have partnered to provide gifts to children in need over the holidays.
"The Share the Spirit Toy Drive is a way for all of us to ensure that every family can share the spirit of the holidays," says Northwestel President Curtis Shaw. "That's why Northwestel is proud to be part of the Holiday Toy Drive again this year. From now until December 10th, I invite everyone to visit our downtown retail store in Whitehorse to donate a new, unwrapped gift for a child or teenager."
Shaw also announced that Northwestel is making a $5000 dollar donation to the campaign.
Nicholas O'Carrol from the Whitehorse Firefighters Charitable Society spoke about the collaboration that occurs to put this program on.
"This is a perfect example of government organizations, NGOs, individual people, and businesses like Northwestel, coming together to help a need that is not easily fixed. Christmas is a special time of year. We want every kid to be included."
