Yukon residents can receive their flu shots beginning the end of the month.
The annual flu shots will be available in the Yukon starting on October 24 for high-risk people.
The shots will be available to the general public a week later.
Chief medical officer of health Dr. Sudit Ranade says “the flu vaccine has been proven to not only reduce the number of doctor’s visits, hospitalizations and deaths related to the flu but also can be taken with the COVID-19 vaccine safely.
Online appointments in Whitehorse will be available starting Friday, October 14. Appointments for flu vaccines will also be available at participating pharmacies. In the communities flu shots will be offered at local health care centres.
