The Department of Education is dealing with a potentially-serious privacy breach.

The Department of Education is dealing with a potentially-serious privacy breach.

According to a news release from the Yukon Party, its MLAs were inundated with concerns from Yukoners about the problem.

The party says the breach involved a member of the department emailing sensitive information of
Yukon post-secondary students who had applied for a Yukon Grant in 2022 to an unknown member of the public.

"This is a disturbing breach of Yukoner’s private information," says Education Critic Scott Kent.
